American West Metals (ASX:AW1) said it will prioritize exploration for gallium and high-grade molybdenum at its West Desert project in Utah within the year, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Resources for indium, zinc, silver, copper, and gold have already been defined at the project.
Thick, anomalous zones of gallium have been observed in drilling that targeted copper and zinc mineralization. Large volumes of molybdenum were also intersected in drilling.
All required permits for the project are in place across private and Bureau of Land Management claims.
Its shares jumped 10% in recent trading on Thursday.
