0851 GMT - Glimpses into the U.K. Strategic Defence Review released by the British government ahead of the document's publication Monday afternoon lift the stocks of U.K. arms manufacturers. As part of the strategy, Britain will build up to 12 nuclear-powered attack submarines, the U.K.'s defense ministry said in a statement. And in an interview with the Times published Saturday, Defense Secretary John Healey said he had "no doubt" that Britain would spend 3% of its gross domestic product on defense by 2034. Shares in Babcock International rises by 4% to 9.74 pounds, while QinetiQ advances 2.5% to 5.11 pounds and BAE Systems gains 1.2% at 19.24 pounds. Rolls-Royce lags behind, rising just 0.3% to 8.69 pounds. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
