Brookfield Renewable Doesn't Need U.S. Subsidy for Its Projects -- Market Talk

1152 ET - Brookfield Renewable Partners should still be able to generate good returns for investors despite losing support from the U.S. Raymond James' Frederic Bastien says, as drafted, Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act proposes to eliminate the clean electricity investment tax credits for facilities that don't begin construction within 60 days after the Bill's enactment, or that aren't operational by the end of 2028. But Bastien isn't worried for Brookfield. "This does not concern us one bit since as a large, technology agnostic, and globally diversified renewable operator and developer, BEP is not beholden to any one government subsidy," Bastien says.
