Manitowoc Company Inc. has announced a significant order for several large capacity Potain tower cranes by Tiong Woon Tower Crane for a new government housing project in western Singapore. The project, which is set to benefit from the country's growing trend towards precast construction, will utilize a mix of MCT 565A and MCT 1005 models. These cranes, known for their high capacity and compact topless design, are particularly suited for Singapore's space-constrained jobsites. They will be tasked with lifting heavy concrete elements, including 22-ton dual precast bathroom units (PBUs), which are essential for speeding up construction by arriving partially tiled and pre-assembled. This development underscores the increasing demand for high-capacity cranes in Singapore's construction industry.
