KB Home, one of the largest homebuilders in the U.S., has released findings from its second annual survey, highlighting that 83% of Americans view homeownership as an essential milestone. However, 89% express anxiety about affordability and the homebuying process. In response, KB Home is expanding its mission to educate and empower future homebuyers, particularly during National Homeownership Month. The company is hosting free Homebuying 101 events nationwide, covering topics such as the benefits of owning versus renting and navigating the homebuying process, including financing. KB Home aims to make homeownership more attainable by offering affordably priced, personalized homes. The survey, conducted by The Harris Poll in April 2025, also reveals that over half of Americans believe they are worse off buying a home today compared to prior generations, citing higher home prices and mortgage rates as key challenges.
