Elliptic Laboratories ASA, a leader in AI software solutions, has announced the shipment of its AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform on four new smartphone models in May 2025. Among these are the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro and three models from vivo, namely the vivo IQOO Z10 Turbo Series and vivo Y300 GT Smartphones. This brings the company's total to 24 smartphone model launches for the year so far. Elliptic Labs' AI Virtual Proximity Sensor, known for its ability to detect when a phone is held to the ear during calls, enables smartphones to turn off their display to prevent accidental screen touches and conserve battery life. This software-only solution eliminates the need for dedicated hardware sensors, reducing costs and sourcing risks.
