Expro Group Holdings NV has announced the successful deployment of its Autonomous iTONG™ system for the first time in the Sub-Sahara Africa region, specifically off the Côte d'Ivoire. This marks a significant milestone as iTONG™ is used in deepwater operations for a major offshore operator, following its initial deployment in Norway in 2021. The deployment comes as Expro secures the Tubular Running Services $(TRS)$ contract aboard the Deep Value Driller drillship, which supports the expansion of the Baleine field, the largest hydrocarbon discovery in the region, for client Eni. The iTONG™ system is noted for enhancing efficiency, safety, and cost savings, further revolutionizing offshore operations.
