June 2 - (The Insurer) – Cyber Insurtech Coalition has hired Ilsa Derfus from McGill & Partners as director of capacity.
Derfus will be responsible for managing Coalition’s relationships with carrier partners and will serve as its primary point of contact for all capacity-related matters.
At McGill she worked with Coalition and other clients in a reinsurance brokerage capacity.
In the decade before joining McGill, Derfus worked at Aon and Guy Carpenter.
Nick Aeppel, Coalition’s head of special projects, said: “We expect that Ilsa’s addition will allow Coalition to move more nimbly with carriers, deepen our carrier relationships, and accelerate the pace at which we build capacity for new products and programs.”
San Francisco-based cyber insurtech Coalition in March secured a $30 million equity investment from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co.
