Lumen Technologies Inc. has announced its role in providing terrestrial backhaul connectivity for the JUNO Trans-Pacific Cable System, a high-capacity undersea cable linking Japan and the United States. This collaboration will utilize Lumen's fiber network to transport data from the cable's U.S. landing point in Grover Beach, California, to major points of presence in San Jose and Los Angeles. The integration of Lumen's dark fiber backhaul with JUNO's system is set to enhance data flow and connectivity between Asia and North America, benefiting enterprises and enabling advancements in AI and digital applications. The JUNO cable, managed by Seren Juno Network Co., Ltd., spans 10,000 kilometers and can deliver up to 350 Tbps using advanced Space Division Multiplexing technology.
