Mosaic adds Chubb’s Bonkoski as cyber head, names DeLong global engagement officer

By Michael Loney

June 3 - (The Insurer) - Mosaic Insurance has promoted Yosha DeLong to the new role of global engagement officer and hired Brian Bonkoski from Chubb to lead its cyber business.

Chicago-based DeLong has built Mosaic’s cyber business since the company’s launch in February 2021.

The cyber team consists of 32 specialists in the U.S., Canada, Bermuda, UK, Germany and United Arab Emirates.

DeLong in her new role will be responsible for driving Mosaic’s overall market engagement across business lines, including product distribution and growth, broker and client relationships, and sales and business development initiatives that harness digital capabilities.

Mosaic co-CEO Mark Wheeler said that DeLong’s “leadership in cyber has been integral to Mosaic’s success, and I’m confident she will excel in her critical new role.”

Philadelphia-based Bonkoski will take over the role of global head of cyber at Mosaic, effective June 16.

He has 20 years of underwriting and distribution leadership experience, with previous executive roles at Chubb and AIG.

Most recently, he was senior vice president, head of field operations at Chubb, where he oversaw U.S. national production and broker distribution. He has also held leadership roles focused on the U.S. East Coast, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.

Cyber was Mosaic’s first product in 2021 and is now its fastest-growing business. It is expected to be the largest product line in its specialty portfolio over the next year.

Mosaic launched primary cyber across all underwriting regions in 2023, building on its excess coverage.

Its cyber focus is on middle-market businesses offering maximum capacity of $25 million across its network of underwriting hubs.
