Latarche rejoins Verisk as chief digital officer for Specialty Business Solutions

By Rebecca Delaney

June 3 - (The Insurer) - Paul Latarche has rejoined Verisk as chief digital officer of Verisk Specialty Business Solutions to support the global expansion of the Whitespace platform, the company said on Tuesday.

Latarche most recently served as chief commercial officer for reinsurance solutions at Swiss Re, where he was responsible for commercial strategy across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa.

He left the role earlier this year after two and a half years. Prior to that, he was chief commercial officer of Verisk Specialty Business Solutions, having joined its predecessor Sequel Business Solutions. He was also the co-founder of Rulebook, the insurance technology platform acquired by Verisk in 2018.

In his new role, Latarche will be responsible for leading Verisk Specialty Business Solutions’ digital strategy across the UK and international markets.

This includes supporting the global expansion of Whitespace, Verisk’s digital placement platform that began in the London market.

Whitespace expanded to U.S.-based brokers, wholesalers, carriers and risks in October 2024, and is also available in China, Spain, France, Belgium, Dubai and Singapore.

Verisk CEO Tim Rayner was among signatories to an open letter published on Tuesday that called for the London market to align with the Acord GRLC Standard.
