SolarBank Corporation has announced a series of energy projects aimed at integrating renewable energy with advanced financial technologies. As a pioneer in blending clean energy with decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3, SolarBank is set to leverage the renewable energy sector's growth. The company has secured significant partnerships, including a US$100 million community solar financing deal with CIM Group for 97 MW of projects in the USA, a US$49.5 million transaction with Qcells for deploying solar power plants using "Made-in-USA" panels, and a US$41 million clean energy partnership with Honeywell to repurpose closed landfill sites into solar farms. Additionally, SolarBank has obtained a $25 million credit facility from the Royal Bank of Canada to expand its battery energy storage systems $(BESS)$ project portfolio, enhancing grid stability. While the company aims to establish a Bitcoin treasury strategy, no Bitcoin purchases have been made to date.
