MultiStrat adds Tompkins as executive director of capital markets

By David Bull

June 2 - (The Insurer) - MultiStrat has hired former Securis Investment Partners and Towers Watson Investment Services (TWIS) executive Weston Tompkins to lead its MultiStrat Advisors unit.

In his new role as executive director for capital markets, Tompkins will oversee and manage the Bermudian’s relationships with third-party investors as well as its capital raising initiatives, capital analytics and strategy to support continued growth.

MultiStrat Advisors is the U.S.-based capital advisory company which is focused on sourcing investor capital to support casualty ILS-focused MultiStrat-originated reinsurance opportunities.

Tompkins will report direct to MultiStrat CEO Bob Forness, working with the Baldwin Group-backed company’s executive team to explore new investment opportunities and initiatives to support the “near and long-term success of the group,” said MultiStrat in a statement confirming the hire.

He was most recently senior vice president for investor relations at Tribe Capital Management and previously held various investor relationship roles at Securis, TWIS and Hewitt Investment Group.
