Nvidia stock was rising on Wednesday, putting the chip maker on course to cement its position as the world's largest company by market value.
Shares climbed 0.7% to $142.15 ahead of the opening bell. Futures tracking the S&P 500 were up 0.2%.
Nvidia stock had risen 2.9% on Tuesday, putting the company above Microsoft as the world's largest company by market capitalization. Nvidia's market cap stands at $3.45 trillion, versus Microsoft's $3.44 trillion. Microsoft shares slid 0.1% in Wednesday's premarket.
Shares in other chip makers were also rising on Wednesday. Advanced Micro Devices stock, Broadcom stock, and Qualcomm stock all added 0.5%.
