Mondelēz International has added a new set of investments targeting climate and community-centered solutions to its Sustainable Futures portfolio.

The company said Thursday it is now investing in eAgronom, an agriculture technology company that helps farmers improve soil health and reduce carbon emissions, and ZIRO, a fintech startup aiming to provide small merchants with affordable inventory financing.

It has also invested in Pack2Earth, an advanced materials company helping Mondelēz replace about 60,000 metric tons of plastic packaging with home compostable material by 2028.

The company did not disclose the size of the investments.

The additional investments align with the company's sustainability strategy and Vision 2030 growth ambitions, Mondelēz said.
