B&M European Value Retail SA has expanded its presence with the opening of a brand-new store in Portishead, Somerset. The store, which opened its doors to customers on the morning of May 30th, 2025, is located in Wyndham Way Retail Park and occupies the site of a former Homebase store. Spanning a ground floor sales area of 20,570 square feet and a mezzanine of 8,277 square feet, the store has undergone extensive renovations. It also features a 10,534 square foot garden centre offering a diverse range of plants and gardening products. This expansion has brought a significant economic boost to the local area, creating 50 new jobs. The store offers a wide variety of products, including groceries, health and beauty items, homeware, and more, at competitive prices. The opening ceremony featured a ribbon cutting by representatives from Clevedon District Foodbank, a local charity selected by store employees. B&M's store manager expressed enthusiasm for contributing to the community and supporting local employment.
