1411 ET - Cruise lines continue to ride the wave of the wealthiest segment of the population moving through retirement, followed by the second biggest population segment, millennials, who have just hit the prime period for family vacations, UBS analysts say in a research note. The industry will soon tap into an even more affluent demographic, with several luxury hotel brands like the Ritz- Carlton, Four Seasons, Orient Express, and Aman entering the space, they say. Such brands bring extensive lodging databases that should accelerate growth in cruising first-timers, helping the industry's relatively low penetration rates relative to other travel segments, they say.
