Gorilla Gold Mines (ASX:GG8) said results from reverse circulation drilling at the Mulwarrie gold project in Western Australia extended the mineralized footprint by one kilometer, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

Significant intercepts were encountered during the drilling, including four meters at 29.3 g/t grade of gold from 138 meters, as well as 10 meters at 5.2 g/t grade of gold from 70 meters.

The maiden drilling program will draw to a close in three to five weeks.

The firm said it is targeting a resource update at the project in the third quarter, and it is looking to discover significant new mineralization.

The firm is also ramping up drilling, exploration activities, and permitting activities at the Lakeview prospect and the wider Comet Vale project, its Chief Executive, Charles Hughes, said.
