Aeluma (ALMU) said Thursday it successfully demonstrated a manufacturing process with Thorlabs that enables scalable production of quantum photonic circuits using standard silicon wafers.
The company said it integrated aluminum gallium arsenide, a nonlinear optical material, onto 200mm CMOS-compatible silicon wafers, a step that supports volume manufacturing of quantum photonics.
The project is backed by the US Office of the Secretary of Defense, Aeluma said.
