Alpha Group International extended the deadline for Corpay to submit a takeover bid.
The London-listed financial services business said Friday that Corpay would now have until July 7 to submit a firm offer or walk away under U.K. Takeover Panel rules. The previous deadline was May 30.
On May 2, corporate payments company Corpay confirmed talks with Alpha Group International regarding a possible cash offer. Four days later, Alpha Group International turned it down.
On Friday, Alpha Group International said it believes that it is in the best interests of shareholders to continue engagement with Corpay.
