CHICAGO, May 29 (Reuters) - Spot soybean and corn basis bids were steady in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday as farmers focused on seeding the remainder of their crop.
The corn and soy bid ticked up at an Illinois river terminal.
Basis bids were steady elsewhere, spot checks showed.
A stronger dollar, which was triggered by a U.S. federal court blocking President Donald Trump's "Liberation Day" tariffs from going into effect, has made U.S. goods less competitive globally.
U.S. exporters sold 104,000 metric tons of corn to Mexico and 101,096 tons of corn to unknown destinations for 2024/25 delivery, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported.
Sluggish demand and an ongoing U.S.-China trade war have continued to weigh on corn and soy futures.
CBOT July corn futures CN25 were last down 5-1/4 cents at $4.45-3/4 per bushel and July soybean futures SN25 were steady at $10.48-1/2 per bushel.
