General Mills Inc. has announced a significant global transformation initiative aimed at boosting productivity through enhanced end-to-end business processes. Approved on May 20, 2025, this multi-year initiative is expected to be largely completed by the end of fiscal 2028. The company anticipates incurring total charges of approximately $130 million, with around $120 million in cash expenses. In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, General Mills plans to record about $70 million of these charges, primarily for severance expenses. However, the company has noted that actual costs and their timing could vary based on various assumptions and unforeseen events related to the transformation.
