U.S. Natural Gas Futures Start Week Lower -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
27 May

0949 ET - U.S. natural gas futures are lower following the long weekend with modest weather-driven demand expected to close out May before a warm-up forecast for early June. "It may take some time for elevated temperatures to set in before a realized shift in demand gets noticed," Dennis Kissler of BOK Financial says in a note. "Most traders will likely take a wait-and-see attitude as to how much demand this next warming trend will pull." Nymex natural gas is off 0.7% at $3.312/mmBtu. (anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
