Perpetua Resources Corp. has announced that it has been awarded up to $6.9 million in additional funding from the U.S. Army via the Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium. This funding builds upon the previous $15.5 million awarded to the company in 2023. The funds are allocated for testing the feasibility of using materials sourced from Perpetua's Stibnite Gold Project to produce military-specification antimony trisulfide, a critical component in munitions and advanced defense systems. This initiative supports the U.S. Army's objective of establishing a fully domestic antimony trisulfide supply chain. With this latest award, Perpetua Resources has received over $80 million in total from the Department of Defense to further their role in securing a domestic source of critical minerals.
