HSBC Cuts Some Analyst Jobs, Bloomberg Says, Citing Sources

-- HSBC cut more than two dozen analyst roles as part of the restructuring of its investment banking division, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.

-- Most of the cuts were in Europe but also included Dubai-based Steven Major, the global head of fixed income research, Bloomberg reports.

-- HSBC told Bloomberg that its global research, equities sales and trading businesses are core to its corporate and institutional banking business.
