Count (ASX:CUP) said the Federal Court of Australia has dismissed a class action brought against its unit, Count Financial, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The class action alleged Count Financial failed to ensure its advisers acted in clients' best interests when providing personal financial advice and receiving commissions or other benefits, law firm Piper Alderman's website showed.

Count's unit defended the claim and denied any wrongdoing, the filing said.
