Penn Entertainment (PENN) said Wednesday that it expects to open its new Hollywood Casino Joliet in Illinois on Aug. 11, six months ahead of its original timeline.
Penn Entertainment said it expects to access $130 million in funding from Gaming and Leisure Properties (GLPI) in Q3 for the $185 million casino project.
The company said the entertainment facility will house 1,000 slots, 43 table games, a retail ESPN BET sportsbook, and an event center. Penn Entertainment also said it expects the new casino to employ about 600 workers.
