Ameresco (AMRC) said Tuesday its solar power project in partnership with BXP (BXP) in Reston, Virginia, has started commercial operations.
The 1.3 megawatt solar canopy system, installed on a parking garage, is now fully operational and is expected to generate around 1.5 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy each year for BXP's Reston Town Center, the company said.
The project aims to lower energy costs, improve energy security, and reduce reliance on the power grid, it added.
