Sales of mid-priced products among tourists in Hong Kong weakened compared with the past, The Standard reported Tuesday, citing gold jeweler maker Chow Sang Sang (HKG:0116).
Spending on entry-level products has risen, but that of high-end goods has fallen, but within sustainable limits, the report said, citing the jeweler's chairman, Vincent Chow Wing-shing.
Chow said same-store sales during the Labor Day holiday were satisfactory, while staying confident about sales for the next half year, the report said.
