The Hong Kong exchange could expect to be flooded with initial public offerings in the coming months after the blockbuster offering of Contemporary Amperex Technology (HKG:3750, SHE:300750) in the city, the South China Morning Post reported Monday, citing JPMorgan Chase.
The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKG:0388)-operated bourse sees a strong IPO pipeline, with "very high-quality companies that investors want access to," the SCMP quoted JPMorgan's Asia-Pacific investment banking chief Paul Uren as saying.
"We'll see a number of other companies across a variety of industries that will attract the same support," Uren reportedly said.
The Hong Kong bourse is seeing a strong comeback in 2025 with the city's exchange leading the pack to become the world's biggest IPO market, the report said.
