Hang Lung Properties Ltd. has announced a significant advancement in sustainability, with 80% of its mainland China portfolio now powered by renewable energy. This marks an increase from 50% and includes the transition of Forum 66 and Palace 66 in Shenyang, along with Olympia 66 in Dalian, to renewable energy sources as of May 1, 2025. These developments are the first commercial projects in Liaoning Province to achieve this milestone. Hang Lung's initiative aligns with China's green energy policy framework and aims to reach a net-zero goal by 2050. The company plans to purchase around 320 million kWh of renewable energy across eight properties by the end of 2025, surpassing its initial target of 25% renewable energy for its mainland portfolio. This move not only facilitates the energy transition but also empowers tenants to enhance their sustainability commitments.
