Andean Silver (ASX:ASL) said its mapping and geophysics program identified new high-grade silver and gold vein systems and drilling targets outside the current mineral resource at its Cerro Bayo project in Argentina, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It is continuing to drill at the Laguna Verde mine district within the Cerro Bayo project to expand the high-grade underground resources, as well as the bulk Taitao open pit areas within the existing mineral resource.
The discoveries have never previously been effectively mapped, sampled, or drill tested, the filing said.
