Marriott International (MAR) said Thursday it has signed an agreement with Solana to open a St. Regis hotel in Costa Rica.
The luxury resort will be built on 20 hectares in the Gulf of Papagayo in Guanacaste, with construction starting in July and opening planned for early 2027, the company said.
The new St. Regis Papagayo will include 120 hotel rooms and 143 residential units, designed with local culture and ocean surroundings in mind, it added.
Planned amenities include six restaurants, a spa, swimming pools, a library, a beach club, and both indoor and outdoor event space, according to the company.
