Shopify (SHOP) introduced an AI store builder and other tools to bolster prospects for merchants.
The store setup involves simply outlining keywords about a brand or product alongside the latest Horizon theme foundation for customization, Shopify said Wednesday in a blog post.
Other tools include AI shopping agents that showcase products across popular conversational platforms such as Perplexity, a "knowledge base" app that creates AI-friendly answers to common customer questions and a Sidekick upgrade, the company said.
Shares of Shopify fell 1.6% in recent trading Wednesday.
