Ameren Corporation has announced an update on their storm restoration efforts following the severe weather on May 16, 2025. The company aims to restore power to nearly all affected customers by the end of Sunday. Currently, approximately 8,000 customers remain without power, while service has been restored to around 200,000 customers since the storm. The restoration process involves around 2,700 workers focused on rebuilding damaged energy infrastructure safely and efficiently. The company has placed mobile command centers and additional materials in the hardest-hit areas to expedite restoration. Ameren has also issued a warning about potential scammers impersonating their employees and advises customers to contact them directly or inform local authorities if approached by suspicious individuals.
