While retailers diverge over the impact of Trump's tariffs, some discount stores are seeing a boost.
Dollar General shares jumped 3.9% Tuesday, while Dollar Tree shares gained 3.7%.
That comes after Walmart said last week that it would raise prices on a range of goods over the next few months, citing the impact of tariffs. That suggests broader price hikes are coming, potentially increasing the appeal of stores known for their ultra-cheap products.
