Atul Auto (BOM:531795, NSE:ATULAUTO) will rebrand its L5 electric passenger vehicles as 'Atul Rik' following ongoing trademark litigation with Exxon Mobil Corp. over the use of the 'Mobili' name, according to a Tuesday filing on the local bourses.

The Rajkot-based automaker told exchanges it had filed an appeal against an ex-parte interim order from the Delhi High Court and sought to vacate the stay.

The appellate bench has disposed of the appeal and directed all parties to submit replies by May 24, with a hearing on the interim injunction scheduled for May 26.

To avoid disruption to its sales, Atul Auto said it has already updated the ARAI approval certificate and the Vahan portal with the new branding.

The legal dispute involves Atul Auto and its subsidiary Atul Greentech.
