Tech stocks were mixed late Tuesday afternoon with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) shedding 0.5% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) little changed, erasing earlier declines.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index eased 0.2%.
In corporate news, Alphabet's (GOOG) Google and XREAL teamed up to introduce augmented-reality glasses for the Android XR platform under Project Aura. Alphabet shares fell 1.6%.
Shipments of smartphones, including Apple (AAPL) iPhones, from China to the US fell to the lowest in 14 years, Bloomberg reported. Apple shares dropped 1%.
D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) shares jumped 26% after the company said its Advantage2 quantum computing system is now generally available.
