FedEx Corporation has announced leadership appointments as it progresses with the separation of its less-than-truckload $(LTL)$ freight division. The company has named John A. Smith as President and CEO of the independent FedEx Freight company, while R. Brad Martin will serve as Chairman of the Board. These appointments will take effect upon the completion of the spin-off, expected by June 2026. This move follows a strategic analysis led by Martin, who currently chairs the FedEx Corp. Audit and Finance Committee. Tom Connolly has also been appointed as vice president of LTL Sales to lead the expansion of FedEx Freight's dedicated salesforce.
