Air New Zealand (ASX:AIZ, NZE:AIR) bought back 774,394 of its ordinary shares, according to a Friday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
The company repurchased 333,882 ordinary shares on NZX at an average price of NZ$0.6111; 45,511 ordinary shares on ASX at AU$0.5603 apiece; and 395,001 ordinary shares acquired off-market from the sovereign through the Minister of Finance at NZ$0.6111 each, the filing stated.
The company's Australian and New Zealand shares were down 2% each in recent trade.
