Lachlan Star (ASX:LSA) started its first drilling program at the Killaloe project in Western Australia, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program will focus on high-priority gold targets, including 1,100 meters of reverse circulation drilling at the Duke prospect to follow up on previously reported gold intercepts, the filing said.
Additionally, 6,000 meters of air core drilling will be conducted across several targets.
The program is anticipated to be completed within four weeks, according to the filing.
Shares were up 6% in midday trade Monday.
