Raytheon, an RTX Corporation business, has secured a $580 million follow-on production contract from the U.S. Navy for the Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band (NGJ-MB) system. This contract involves the provision of additional NGJ-MB pod shipsets, including those for the Royal Australian Air Force, along with spares and specialized support equipment. The NGJ-MB system, a cooperative effort with the Royal Australian Air Force, is an advanced airborne electronic attack system designed to counter a range of adversary threats. It utilizes two pods with active electronically scanned arrays operating in the mid-band frequency range and is deployed on the EA-18G Growler. The work associated with this contract will be carried out in several U.S. locations, including Forest, Mississippi; McKinney, Texas; El Segundo, California; and Andover, Massachusetts, and is expected to continue through 2028.
