Deere Expects $500 Million Tariff Impact in FY25 -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
16 May

1309 ET - Deere expects a pre-tax tariff impact in F2025 of just over $500 million, the company says on an analyst call. The forecast incorporates global tariffs in effect as of May 13, including the reductions in levies between China and the U.S., and assumes these tariff levels continue for the remainder of the fiscal year. The world's largest seller of farm equipment saw roughly $100 million in tariff-related headwinds during the recent quarter. Nearly 80% of the company's U.S. sales and 25% of its international sales are built in U.S. manufacturing locations, executives say, with most of its non-U.S. component sourcing coming from Mexico and Europe. Deere rises 3.7% following better-than-expected F2Q earnings. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
