MCC's New Contract Value Slides 25% in January-April

Metallurgical Corp. of China or MCC (SHA:601618, HKG:1618) signed new contracts worth 308.4 billion yuan from January to April, down 25% from the year-ago period, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

Of the total, the value of newly signed overseas contracts fell by 7.7% year over year to 19.3 billion yuan.

In April alone, the engineering construction company signed five new major engineering and construction contracts worth over 1 billion yuan each.
