Xponential Fitness said Chief Executive Mark King has informed the board of directors that he intends to retire as CEO and as a director due to health reasons.

The health and wellness company said King will continue to serve as CEO throughout the search process for a successor until his retirement.

King, a former CEO of Taco Bell, was hired to be the chief executive in June 2024. King took the helm from Brenda Morris, who had served as interim CEO after founder Anthony Geisler was removed in May 2024 amid an investigation by federal prosecutors.
