The Federal Communications Commission informed EchoStar (SATS) Chairman and co-Founder Charlie Ergen that agency staff will investigate the company's compliance with federal requirements to build a nationwide 5G network, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing an FCC letter to Ergen that it viewed.
EchoStar did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
Shares were falling more than 9% in recent trading.
