0908 ET - Mizuho says it expected that Andrew Witty would step down as CEO at UnitedHealth, but also that "the suspension of guidance is surprising," according to analysts in a research note. The healthcare company suspended its already reduced 2025 earnings outlook, citing among other factors the medical costs of new enrollees in its Medicare plans remaining higher than expected. The company also said Chairman Stephen Hemsley will return to the chief executive officer role, succeeding Witty. UnitedHealth slides 10% premarket. (denny.jacob@wsj.com; @pennedbyden)
