Urban One Inc. reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, revealing a net revenue of approximately $92.2 million, which marks an 11.7% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. The company reported an operating income of approximately $2.1 million, a significant decline from the $12.9 million recorded in the first quarter of the previous year. The net loss for the first quarter of 2025 was approximately $11.7 million, compared to a net income of $7.5 million for the same period in 2024. Adjusted EBITDA was approximately $12.9 million, down from $22.3 million in the prior year. CEO and President Alfred C. Liggins, III noted that core radio advertising decreased by 12.4%, excluding digital, and cable TV advertising decreased by 6.3%. Digital revenues experienced a 16.1% decline, attributed to anticipated weakness in streaming and podcasting revenues. Despite these declines, the company reaffirmed its full-year guidance of $75 million in Adjusted EBITDA for 2025, with cumulative debt repurchases so far in 2025 amounting to $88.6 million.
