Vestas and LM Wind Power have announced a significant deal involving the transfer of LM Wind Power's blade factory in Goleniów, Poland, to Vestas. This strategic move is aimed at expanding Vestas' European manufacturing footprint to better meet the growing demand for wind energy in Europe. The factory, which has been operational since 2009 and expanded in 2017, will continue to produce blades for Vestas' onshore wind solutions, including the V172-7.2 MW turbine. The transaction is pending regulatory approval, and both companies express commitment to a smooth transition.
