CGN New Energy Holdings Co. Ltd. has released a trading update regarding its power generation for April 2025. The company reported a total power generation of 1,677.7 GWh for the month, marking a 5.7% increase compared to April 2024. Despite this overall growth, certain projects faced challenges; the Yulchon I gas-fired project in Korea underwent technical improvements, and the Daesan biomass project was under annual overhaul, contributing to a year-on-year decrease in power generation for these specific projects. The report also highlighted significant increases in power generation from PRC wind and solar projects, with growths of 18.1% and 15.5% respectively, while PRC hydro projects saw a 56.9% decrease. Over the first four months of 2025, the group's accumulated power generation was 6,448.7 GWh, a 1.5% decrease from the same period in 2024. Investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing with the company's securities.
